Based in a private shared gym in Kingswood, Bristol, we specialise in inclusive, functional strength and fitness training tailored to individual needs. Whether you’re just getting started or looking to push your performance, we're here for it!

ABOUT JBS Fitness
JBS Fitness is now a family-run personal training business run by married couple Jo Bryan-Smith and Jacob Greatrex.
Founded by Jo Bryan-Smith in 2020. Jo is a Level 3 personal trainer, certified StrongFirst kettlebell and bodyweight instructor, and founder of Ravers2Runners. She has a passion for helping people move better and feel stronger. Her fitness journey began after a case of burnout followed by bacterial pneumonia that sparked a complete lifestyle shift and a new purpose.
Jacob was a personal trainer before becoming a carpenter and builder for 10 years. He has re-qualified to join JBS Fitness full-time. His passion for strength training, fitness and coaching has been consistent throughout the years and he's a true asset to the team!
Based at Fitness Foundation in Kingswood, Bristol, they offer one-to-one and small-group personal training in a friendly indoor space, with outdoor areas for sunnier days.
Their goal is simple: to make strength training and fitness accessible, sustainable, fun and suited to real life.
They’re expecting their first child in September 2025, with Jo going on maternity leave at the end of August and Jacob taking over from September.
Buddy, their very cute dog, sometimes joins sessions too!
